Pricing
The Grasshopper community is at the center of everything we do at ShapeDiver, and we’d like to be a useful and affordable toolkit for computational designers at every stage of their careers, whether they are going to college, working at a small office or a large multinational.
To cover this wide range of people and organizations, we’ve come up with three components that make up all of our products:
Plans
Each of our plans contains a specific set of ShapeDiver’s features, a number of seats and a number of monthly credits (see below). The pricing is generally targeting customers who use Grasshopper and our services professionally.
Credits
Computing the results of Grasshopper models is at the core of our services and independent of specific features our customers have vastly different needs in terms if the volume of computations they need to run each month.
We account for that by charging credits for certain activities that consume our server resources. If you need more than the amount of credits included in your plan, you can allow us to charge you for excess credits on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Customers who subscribed to our plans before 2025 may be charged using our legacy credit counting method. If in doubt, you can find out how your credits are counted in your billing dashboard. If you are on legacy credit counting, it will be indicated there.

Academic and Startup Discounts
We know that our pricing might be out of reach for some who aren’t using Grasshopper to earn money or who are just getting started. That’s why we have a set of discount programs for students, teachers, universities, and early-stage startups.
And if you are working on an exciting research or artistic project that could benefit from ShapeDiver, we’re open to providing free licenses for a while on a case-by-case basis.
