A scanline post-processing effect is a visual technique used in computer graphics and image processing to simulate the appearance of a cathode ray tube (CRT) display or an analog video signal. This effect mimics the horizontal scan lines that were visible on older display technologies and adds a retro or vintage aesthetic to digital images.
